Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has inaugurated a new tunnel designed to connect the Dubai-Al Ain Road with the Oud Metha Service Road, aiming to improve traffic movement in the area.

The tunnel is a single lane stretching 260 metres and is capable of handling up to 1,200 vehicles per hour. This infrastructure is expected to ease congestion and provide a more efficient and convenient travel experience for motorists.

This development is part of the larger Oud Metha Road and Al Asayel Street Development Project. As of late July, the project was reported to be 90 percent complete, according to an update from the RTA.
