Job Description: • To create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations • To work with scientists, architects and engineers who provide the product or structure details. • To translate the designers details into drawings for manufacturing, maintaining or repairing purposes of the product or structure. • To calculate structural strength, assessing building capacity limits and estimating construction costs. • To prepare interior fit out drawings • To present drawings on AutoCAD • To provide shop drawings in plans, sections, elevations, details from tender drawings. • To prepare cost estimation from bill of quantities and set of set of drawings provided by the clients. • To prepare and present all types of drawings required for building. • To be able to communicate details with contractors on site and fix issues • To be able to suggest technical building and construction solutions • To constantly research and be up to date with all updated softwares, and technical details to advance work. • To meet with team members (designers) to determine project requirements and needs. • To follow up with team members in meeting and to ensure proper documentation and communication • To be able to design modern and contemporary style interiors details from schematic design, to design development, to tender and award submission. • To collaborate with professionals and technical consultants • To plan and achieve project milestones with the team involved. • To have excellent time management and organization skills to plan the project execution. • To collaborate with a team of designers in the company in order to achieve the best design outcome and exceed the expectation of the clients. • To keep team members constantly up-to-date with project progress and outcomes • To constantly research the market trends and be up-to-date with the industry news • To provide freehand sketches and hand renders to communicate design detail intent • To provide technical drawings with construction technical solutions • To prepare BOQ sheets • To have excellent marketing skills, so as to market the company, his/ her work to the public and bring forth new Clients to the company, for an incentive of a certain percentage if done individually with assistance from the company. The percentage will be at the company’s discretion. • Marketing to be done as an additional to the daily draftsman tasks.
