Description:
Modest Fashion Designer
Able to conceptualize, design and execute basic to detailed abaya, jalabiya, gowns and dresses for ladies. With high sense of creativity for modest fashion. Gulf country experience is a must. Master cutter is also needed. Preferably Filipino & Indian national.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the fashion designer include:
• Producing concepts
• Making sketches by hand or on computers
• Developing patterns
• Overseeing production
• Analyzing trends in fabrics, colors and shapes
• Sourcing suppliers
• Selecting and buying fabrics and trims
• Supervising the making up of sample garments
• Quality control
Requirement:
Skills and Personal Qualities:
• To be creative and able to draw
• An eye for colour, texture and pattern
• The ability to visualise things in three dimensions
• Technical skills in areas such as pattern cutting, grading and garment construction
• Good communication skills to explain their ideas clearly and persuasively
• The ability to meet deadlines and work within a budget
• To keep ahead of trends in colour, fabric and style
• Strong organizational skills.
Master Cutter/Tailor
We are urgently seeking to hire English-speaking professional Western Clothing Master Cutter/Tailors with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working for Haute Couture or similar luxury fashion houses in the GCC.
An attractive salary package is on offer to the right candidates. Candidates who are invited to interviews must be prepared to undergo various skillset assessments.
What is the work like?
There are three 3 sections:
• Admin/Sales - Able to single-handedly manage the shop when needed.
• Design/Stitch Abaya, Dresses and Jalabiya collections according to seasons.
• Tailoring Shop Appointments – can work directly with the client, organizing fittings and making alterations, and the work takes a high level of skill.
