Description:
We are currently on a lookout for a skilled Lighting Designer to join our multi-disciplinary office in Dubai.
As a lighting designer at GLP, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the design and continuous innovation of our products and support a wide range of exciting projects globally.

Job Description
· Develop lighting concepts and strategies for projects, with team members
· Giving structure to ideas – concept ideas, diagrams and renderings, spreadsheets, reports and analyses for discussion
· Collaborate across design disciplines within GLP and project teams including architects and other consultants
· Produce lighting modeling including 2-D and 3-D
· Develop visual materials to represent lighting designs with Photoshop or Dialux
· Report writing and document layout in MS Word and InDesign
· Lighting calculations (Architectural and Daylighting)
Requirement:
Qualifications
· Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering / Architectural Engineering
· 3+ years of lighting design experience after graduation
· Core interest in the lighting design industry with an emphasis on Architectural lighting design
· Understanding of lighting fundamentals including photometric quantities, calculation techniques and light source types
· Understanding of the design and documentation process such design reports, design and construction drawings, and luminaire schedules or specifications
· Ability to model in 3D via AutoCAD or SolidWorks
· MS Word, Excel, Dialux, Adobe Creative Suite, In Design etc.
· Visualization skills such as Virtual Reality environments, 3DS Max, After Effects, Premiere
· Photography and HDR photography skills and calibration understanding
· Technical writing skills
· Skilled in hand sketching and computer graphics development such as Adobe Illustrator
